Sephora Cream Lip Stain Review

Liquid lipsticks!  Liquid lipsticks!  Liquid lipsticks!  Can you say it five times fast?  I know that you are seeing many reviews and swatchfests for the many different liquid lipsticks, but I wanted to review my favorite brands for you.  Many forget about the Sephora brand collection.  It's a large collection that includes skincare and makeup.  I think that many do not notice the collection until the color of the year comes out.  Hint...it's hiding in the section labeled Sephora!  The Sephora cream lip stains have been out for years, but some product junkies like myself totally missed the mark until this year.  This is a great budget friendly liquid lipstick option at 14.00 USD.  The colors dry to a matte finish.  There are 14 colors in collection.  I own Always Red 01, Strawberry Kiss 03, Watermelon Slice 09, African Violet 12, Blackberry Sorbet 14, and Polished Purple 15.  To get a nice even application, I would recommend applying two coats of color.  The application for the lighter colors (pink and corals) are a little streaky and take some manipulation to get the best application.  The dark colors apply more smoothly.  There is not obvious wear to the inner lip portion after several hours of wear, but these colors are quite drying.  These liquid lipsticks are a hidden jewel in one of the largest makeup retailers.  Try one out; I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.  Sephora's generous return policy makes taking the plunge a little bit sweeter.  What are your favorite colors?  Check out my swatches and stay FABULOUS!

Morphe Brushes 35O Palette Back In Stock Tomorrow!

The time is finally here!  Morphe Brushes is restocking the infamous 35O palette.  The palette sold out almost instantly when everyone caught wind of the warm toned, rich colors.  This is a sure fire fall must have.  The palette will retail for 22.99 USD.  Presale will start tomorrow at 10 AM PST.  After the orders are placed, they will ship out on three different dates:  September 30, October 19, and October 26.  We can not chose which date that our palette ships out, so that kind of sucks.  If  you live in Burbank, CA the palette is available in the Morphe store right now.  Beauty on a budget...I'm excited!  Happy Shopping.  Stay FABULOUS!

Are You Really Fall Ready? If Not, See What's In!

Are you really fall 2015 ready?  Fashion Week in February predicted some interesting trends for the fall.  Do you keep up with what's in or wear the same 'ol same 'ol?  If you keep up with the trends, you have some large shoes to fill.

H&M made their presence known through a futuristic, celestial movement in spring fashion week.  The theme was on the moon.  Chunky knits, bold patterns, and quilted wear are some of the trends that we were to expect in retail stores.  Currently H&M has several of the items seen on the runway in February in their studio collection on the H&M website.  The prices are a little more steep than items from the standard line, prices ranging from 34.99 USD to 399.99 USD.  The clothing is quite unique.  I must admit that these trends are not my favorite for the fall.  Did you pick anything up from this collection or rock something similar?

Kanye West's Yeezy line venturing into Fashion Week was a surprise to say the least.  His military style clothing could be characterized as grim and simplistic.  His clothing retails at a minimum staggering price of 900.00 USD and higher.  Military is a great trend that I enjoy participating in...I just will not be purchasing any of these products.  I personally do not think that they are worth the price, and many can find trendy alternatives.  Some make humor of his grunge style resembling the walking dead.  What do you think?

J. Crew's fall collection showed some of the more power trends that you can find in many stores.  Trends from the 70s are very popular this year, and J. Crew emphasized the fringe, high waist, and various textures represented from that time.  These styles are more of my style.  The cost defers upon retailer, but you can find these trends any where from Forever 21, H&M, Target, J. Crew, etc.

Now that fall is officially here,  are you prepared to rock any of the trends above?  Be original and be you.  Stay FABULOUS!

Fall Makeup Trend: Plum (Lips)

Last part of the series!  With the fall approaching swiftly, many are beginning to adjust their makeup routines from water resistant to wind/chill resistant.  Another change you may note is the change in color.  A fall favorite is rich, deep color.  Different variations of plum have been on trend in the fall for many years.  My favorite color is purple, so I guess that you can say that I am partial to plum.

Below is a list of some of my favorites and fan favorites.  This list includes high end and budget friend color options.  Check out the look below and my prior post Face and Outfit of the Day 9/5/15.  What are some of your favorite products?  Enjoy and stay FABULOUS!

Face Of The Day: 9/27/15

Happy Sunday folks!  My goal every time that I wear makeup is to use something new (yes, I said new from my collection of unused items!) or give love to a oldie.  Today I used ABH World Traveler Palette only on my eyes (can't seem to put this down yet).  There is a goldish shade called Metallic that I have yet to use, so today was the day.  I kept it simple with brown and black in the crease, but I must say that it is a very nice color.  I am wearing Lancome Teint Idol 24H foundation in 530 for the face.  With the season change, I'm thinking that I want a new shade for my foundation, but we'll see.  On my lips I am rocking Lorac lipstick in Goddess with ABH lip gloss in Metallic Rose and MAC Chestnut lipliner.

Tarte Holiday Sets Now Available

Light Of The Party Collector's Makeup Case 59.00 USD
While we are talking about holiday sets, Tarte is another brand who has already released several holiday sets.  One of their show stoppers is the large multi use beauty case including 30 eye shadows, bronzer, blush, mascara, dual ended brush, and a highlighter.  Not to mention the price is only 59.00 USD.  The packaging is gorgeous for their sets this year with a sequin aztec print on most items.  The blush palette has returned for another year, but the packaging seems a lot sleeker and just prettier!  I do not think that I will be picking anything up from Tarte due to they still need to work on the pigmentation for women of color.  But, everything looks so prettiful (I know it's not a word), especially the bedazzled eye lash curler.  What do you think?  It seems as though most of these items are exclusive to Sephora, but Ulta normally comes out with their own holiday sets from Tarte.  But, some items like the lipstick set and eye lash curler are available at both stores.  Stay FABULOUS!

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick Review in Black Rose

Dose of Colors is a brand that can be hard to get your hands on, but it is definitely a brand that is worth the wait.  Famous for the richly colored liquid lipsticks, Dose of Colors is a makeup brand in demand.  Dose of Colors carries a variety of products including face, eyes, and lips.  The liquid lipstick line currently contains 8 shades.  I only own one shade, so I will be reviewing this one shade.  I would like to purchase more colors in the future.  The color mentioned is Black Rose which is a limited edition color that is no longer carried on the website.  You can find this color floating around on Ebay and Amazon.  I personally purchased mine on Ebay.  I received it at fairly reason price, but it was still higher than the retail price, 20.00 USD.  The color was released during a makeup show and sold out immediately.  The color is a deep wine color, and it is not over-drying or streaky.  The color applies best with two coats.  The wear is over 8 hours with little to no transfer or inner lip wear.  This is one of my favorite fall colors, and I've been itching to start wearing it.  There are a few similar colors out there (MAC Diva, Kat Von D Vampira, ABH Heathers, Colorpop LAX, NYX Copenhagen), but I think that the Dose of Colors brand is worth trying out.  Enjoy and stay FABULOUS!

Becca Afterglow Palette Now at Ulta

With the holiday season swiftly approaching, brands are releasing palettes and sets left and right.  Ulta just released one of two exclusive Becca Holiday Sets.  If you continue to follow me, you will soon realize how much of a Becca fan that I am.  The Afterglow Palette retails for 39.50 USD.  The .295 oz palette includes moonstone, rose gold, and topaz shimmering skin perfector; it also includes wild honey and flowerchild mineral blush.  This is a great way to try five different shades and two different products in one palette.  I rarely use an entire blush, let alone an entire highlighter.  This palette will be perfect for me and travel friendly.   Will you be picking it up?  Stay FABULOUS!
